Hello Everyone –

As I work on my second first year here at THE LOFT Art Studios and Gallery, there have been many changes, bumps in the road, and through it all; I can say that there is nothing else that I would rather be doing. Having this business is definitely a work in progress, so visit often and come in to check on us frequently.

The Gallery downstairs is taking shape (visit www.theloftartstudios.com), and I have some new artists as well as my all time favorites. I like the eclectic feel; I even want to say a bit “bohemian”, at least that’s what I’m working toward. I feature small paintings and works of art because my gallery wall space is unusual and small.

THE LOFT Art Studios and Gallery is now a consignment gallery and seeking artists who would like to show their work in the gallery.

Upstairs is my Huntress Expressions studio where I create, teach, and host guest instructor classes. I am constantly working on a great schedule, keeping the favorite classes, like Introduction to Precious Metal Clay, and PMC & Dichroic Glass, as well as teaching other discoveries that I like to share with you.

My greatest joy is experiencing that whole creative process - any process - that’s discovered in each step within me. It never seems to matter what it is that I’m creating as long as I’m in that zone, that “chi”… that “flow”…, where time no longer matters and nothing is ever the wrong way. I enjoy finding that in others as well.

I began teaching classes a few years ago and I’ve always thought that it would compromise my own creativity but I have found that it has greatly enhanced it. Seeing others discover something new about themselves and about their own processes is very satisfying to me as well. I always think, “Everyone is creative, and for some, creativity hasn’t been nurtured yet”.
