PMC – INTRO with Kathy Hunter
This class is for the novice that has minimal experience in Precious Metal Clay. You will learn many techniques by creating projects from the different forms that Precious Metal Clay is available in. A very comprehensive course that will allow you to take home many "I made it myself" pieces and get you started on your journey in jewelry making and PMC. Four three-hour sessions are included.

PMC - THE INTRO PLUS with Kathy Hunter
Look what else we can do with PMC! For those with a little more experience, we will explore some other techniques for incorporating other media like dichroic glass, polymer clay, and fine tune our techniques with different PMC projects. This is also four three-hour sessions.

OPEN STUDIO with Kathy Hunter
After completing the basic classes, you may come in for open studio time. You will have the use of the studio equipment to work on projects on your own. Kathy is always available during open studio to show a new technique or assist you in working on a new design or project.

I am currently available Tuesday & Thursday mornings or you can be scheduled in... just give me a call 602-821-7667. In June, the Thursday morning Open Studio will be switched to Wednesday mornings instead. Tuesdays will remain the same.

PMC—TIME CRUNCH CLASS with Kathy Hunter
For our Out of Town Visitors and Guests!
For a quickie experience, if you happen to be in town for a short while and would like to try something new and different, this one 3-hour session is perfect for you! You will leave quite pleased sporting your new fine jewelry pendant and have fun making it, too! If you have a group of five or more, you can get one class free with your group.

I can also arrange to do large groups as well.

DICHROIC GLASS & PMC with Kathy Hunter
In this three, half-day workshop, we will make a dichroic glass cabochon on the first day; fit it in a PMC pendant, and finish on the last half day.

PMC & RINGS with Kathy Hunter
Anyone fascinated with rings will love this one day class. We will make three rings; one on a ring mandrel, one ring will be torch fired with 22K Gold Accent, and lastly will be my own design of the adjustable ring.

PMC & GOLD with Kathy Hunter

Learn the ancient art of Keum Bo with simple techniques to add gold accents to your PMC pieces. We will explore the differences of gold foil, 24K gold sheet, and Aura 22™; and application techniques for each.

MIXED MEDIA AND PMC WORKSHOP with Criss Juday
Criss Juday a PMC Certified Instructor, teaches this PMC Workshop and explores the use of other mediums to incorporate into Precious Metal Clay. The rising cost of silver is motivating many artists to seek creative ways of making. You will explore different mediums such as acrylics, concrete, resins, etc. to make stunning pieces of fine jewelry.

PHOTOGRAPH YOUR JEWELRY CLASS with Criss Juday
A great class to explore the use of your camera and your jewelry to make your portfolio. In this two hour class, learn to take pictures of your jewelry with your camera. Criss takes you from start to finish with the camera, the light tent, and the computer.

Mosaics – Marg Nelssen
Take your tiny treasures that have been stuck in a drawer for centuries and make great memorable mosaics. Marg shows you how by bringing in a copper covered frame to begin your project. She talks about the different collecting strategies she uses, her use of anything and everything. Bring your own pieces, use pieces from Marg’s collection, bring some pieces to share or trade.

Bezel Setting in PMC – Geri Colgrove
Geri Colgrove, a PMC certified instructor, has mastered the art of bezel setting into PMC. She has taken the mystery out of PMC shrinkage to set your favorite cabochon in your PMC Creations.

Enameling - Terry Cook
Terry is back yet again for another Enameling class. This time, she has some specific projects to work on: We’ll be enameling copper switch plates, and copper fan pulls. As in every class, she covers several different techniques of enameling. So, come and see what’s new!

PETER’S PERFUME PRESENTATIONS
On selected Thursday evenings at THE LOFT, Peter Mason, of Soolia Perfumes, will introduce a series of three different Perfume Presentations for your enjoyment. Bring friends or family with you, or call for your own private group. Each Presentation is an introduction into the many joys of scents and the extraordinary nature of oils and essences. Here is a chance to discover ones own personal blend by a fun selection process that reveals each individual’s unique choice of fragrances.

Perfumed Kodo Party –Kodo is an ancient and much-loved Japanese game of scent exploration by the court ladies of feudal Japan.
May 1, June 5, June 12, and July 10, 2008 6:30-8:00pm.

Perfumed Pleasures of the Past –A presentation of perfumes based on recipes from the ancient world to modern times. This includes a sampling of high-end contemporary perfumes.
May 22, July 10, and July 17, 2008 6:30-8:00 pm.

Perfumed Senses – Participate in the sensory experiences of taste and scent with “perfumed” food and drink. Enjoy accounts of the weird and wonderful uses of perfume.
May 29, June 19, and July 24, 2008 6:30am – 8:00pm.

Peter is also available to do private groups. He can be found at THE LOFT on Saturdays, 12 – 3pm, or you can make an appointment to see him for a private consultation to make your own blend of perfume. This makes a special Gift Certificate for that someone special.
