Hello Everyone –

As I continue to celebrate my first year in THE LOFT Art Studios and Gallery, there have been many changes and lots of exciting events happening, and a lot more events that are planned for this coming season. I really love how the Gallery is taking shape. With two other artists sharing the upstairs loft area, we have forged a good place to create, to share our latest creations, and to work together to make THE LOFT what it is today. Stop by to have a look. Downstairs is a small, eclectic gallery, while the upstairs is the place we create. We also showcase more art upstairs along with our art too.

My greatest joy is experiencing that whole creative process - any process - that’s discovered in each step within me. It never seems to matter what it is that I’m creating as long as I’m in that zone, that “chi”… that “flow”…, where time no longer matters and nothing is ever the wrong way. I enjoy finding that in others as well.

I began teaching classes a few years ago and I’ve always thought that it would compromise my own creativity but I have found that it has greatly enhanced it. Seeing others discover something new about themselves and about their own processes is very satisfying to me as well. I always think, “Everyone is creative, and for some, creativity hasn’t been nurtured yet”.

There are no mistakes in art, only opportunities to be more creative. -Unknown
